Squidoo.com is a website which allows users to easily create their own pages on subjects of their choice; simply create a free account and follow the links which lead users along the path to creating a page.

Users can use a variety of modules to create content, the most basic being simple text and pictures, along to E-bay auctions and videos from You-tube - whichever combination of tools one uses to create pages, they are all fairly simple to use, even for beginners.

Squidoo users are encouraged to link from their pages to other websites and there is no limit to how many links one can create to any particular site. This makes Squidoo a useful tool in creating backlinks to ones own websites and blogs, particularly as Squidoo pages rank highly in search engines.

It is also possible to use Squidoo to make money for oneself or for charities as the administration share part of the advertising revenue with page creators. It is also possible to earn money through featuring related products and earning a sales commission.

Having built pages it is not enough to trust that people will find them and the admin has supplied advice on how to promote ones pages by participating in the forums or by inviting friends to view them.

However one uses Squidoo, it can be a lot of fun to create pages and some people become positively addicted.
